Course Objectives: After taking this course the participant will
be able to:
1) Understand both the basic assumptions and best
practices in the the continuity of care of offenders in the
treatment system.
2) Identify and describe issues related to the transitioning of
offenders from one setting to another while maintaining
integrity of treatment.
3) Better understand the various challenges associated with
the treatment of substance abusing offenders in transition
from incarceration to outside the prison system.
