Mr. Leith has practiced as a Licensed Professional
Counselor
since 1991. He received his Master of Arts in
Counseling with a dual specialization in Mental Health
and Substance Abuse Treatment at St. Mary's University
in San Antonio, Texas in 1990.   He is certified by the
National Association of Addiction Professionals as a
Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), and has been working
with people challenged by substance abuse disorders
(including food!) for the past eighteen years.  He is also
certified as a
Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), a
designation of the National Association of Alcohol and
Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) and governed by the
United States Dept. of Transportation (DoT).  An SAP
provides evaluation and case management of employees
who  test positive for alcohol and other drugs while on
duty in the service of an employer regulated by the DoT
while working in safety-sensitive positions (egs., truck
drivers, airline pilots, railroad engineers).

As a therapist helping people with challenges ranging
from severe thought disorders to personal and
professional growth issues, Mr. Leith remains
professionally active in both inpatient psychiatric
hospital settings and a private office in Windcrest, Texas
(northeast San Antonio).
